Vivo X20 Plus Review

The Vivo X20 Plus is the higher-end variant of the Vivo X20. It sports a slightly larger screen and has a larger battery but is identical to the X20 in every other way. The device is 165x80x7mm in size and weighs approximately 181 grams. It is available in Gold, Rose Gold, and Matte Black colours.

Design and Display

In terms of specifications, Vivo VX20 has a 6-inch Full HD resolution+ display (2160 pixels into 1080 pixels with an 18:9 aspect ratio. This is a near bezel-less display and dimensions are 155.85 x 75.15 x 7.2 mm.

Camera

The primary cameras are 12+12-megapixels with a f/1.8 lens, LED flash, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama. It can record full HD videos at 30 fps. The secondary camera is 12-megapixels with a f/2.0 lens. The low light image quality of the cameras is commendable, given the lens aperture. The super AMOLED panel is guaranteed to perk up your multimedia experience with its vivid colour reproduction and brightness.

Hardware and Software

The Vivo X20 Plus runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with four cores clocked at 2.2GHz and four cores clocked at 1.8GHz, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD expansion. The battery is a non-removable 3,900mAh unit, which should easily last most users well over a day. The device also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It is expected to run Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box and will be customised by Vivo’s Funtouch OS 3.0.

Connectivity

The Vivo X20 Plus is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) . Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, 3G and 4G. Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.
